Manistee’s Toni Trucks to Host Forest Festival Talent Show

MANISTEE — Manistee’s own, Toni Trucks, will be the guest host of the Manistee National Forest Festival Little Big Shots Talent Show.

As a youngster, Trucks performed in programs while attending public schools in the Manistee area. She is now a permanent member of the CBS show “Seal Team”.

“As host of Little Big Shots, Toni will marvel at the talent we have here at Manistee as she reminisces about the start of her acting career,” said event organizer Shirley Madden. in an email.

Children who enjoy singing, dancing, reciting speeches or poetry, or playing an instrument are welcome to apply.

The talent show will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 3 at the Lions Pavilion. It is coordinated by the Manistee County Blue Tigers. The group is always looking for talented young people between the ages of 4 and 16 to register before the June 23 deadline. To enter, email or call Madden at (313) 478-5347.

The show was growing in popularity every year before the pandemic. Madden hopes the band can reignite that momentum.

“Hopefully people will respond and let the kids out,” Madden said. “I think it’s so important for children to display the gifts they’ve received.”
