RISE Worldwide signs talent management agreement with Ishan Kishan
Kishan, 23, led India to the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, finishing second to West Indies.
After a wait of over four years, he made his India debut at the T20 Internationals against the England side on tour in March this year and followed that up with ODI selection against Sri Lanka recently.
“The past two years have been an incredible journey for me personally, both as a cricketer and as an individual,” Kishan said. “As I now make the transition to international cricket, I am happy that the RISE Worldwide team are supporting me off the pitch.”
Kishan has become the eighth cricketer to join RISE Worldwide’s talent management roster. The company will work closely with him on the strategic management of his career, providing extensive resources and expertise to drive value across all facets and stages of his career, except for individual playing contracts, said the society. It will also look at recurring revenue streams through endorsements, appearances, and licensing.
Jharkhand’s young wicket-beater keeper has rapidly risen in the Indian
League (IPL) last season with its brand of attacking cricket.
RISE Worldwide is already in advanced discussions with leading sports and lifestyle brands that synergistically match its profile.
“It is a challenging but exciting era to grow our Talent Management division and we are delighted to welcome Ishan Kishan to our roster of world-class talent at RISE Worldwide,” said Nikhil Bardia, Head of Sales Division and sponsorship talent, RISE Worldwide. “We now have a strong talent representation of eight members, with two of the most dynamic current cricketers, Suryakumar Yadav and now Ishan on board with us. Since 2016, we have been representing and managing our athletes and believe in working with our customers and partners to bring unparalleled experiences.
The talent division of RISE Worldwide (formerly IMG-Reliance) also manages Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan.
