Ryan Reynolds singing in a South Korean talent show dressed as a unicorn resurfaces

Ryan Reynolds is a fan-favorite actor thanks to his jokes and hilarious movies, but he also proved himself a talented singer four years ago in a South Korean singing competition..

Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood’s biggest actors and half of the industry’s favorite A-list couples. Along with Blake Lively, his wife of nearly a decade, they’re everyone’s couple goals thanks to their endless Instagram trolling.

Remember when he wished Blake a happy birthday with a cropped photo of her?

We’re already fans of Ryan, but he made us love him even more in 2018 after his surprise appearance in a South Korean competition, singing Tomorrow from Annie. Some fans are just figuring out the moment now.

We have the Deadpool 2 marketing team to thank for this viral moment; the actor was in South Korea promoting the film for just two days and still managed to sneak onto the popular show.

If that wasn’t a clue Deadpool 3 is a musical, we don’t know what is.

The judges and audience were equally shocked – even celebrities were trying to take a selfie with the actor after his reveal.

What is the Masked Singer?

You may have heard of the British or American Masked Singer, but the franchise originated in South Korea. Created in 2015, King Of Masked Singer sees celebrities go head-to-head in three rounds of elimination. They wear bizarre costumes and masks to conceal their identities so popularity doesn’t affect voting.

Participants sing the same song in the first round and their own song in the second and third rounds. Identities are only revealed once eliminated.

The winner of the third round faces the current Masked King and is either eliminated or wins the title.

Among the non-South Korean celebrities who will appear on the show are Croatian-American singer Miljenko Matijevic – lead singer of rock band Steelheart – and American television personality Tyler Rasch.

It’s even more impressive that he sang the song in Korean, which would have taken him four months to prepare.
