A New Jersey tradition continues: the Big Joe Jersey Talent Show at Jenkinson’s Beach in Point Pleasant Beach!

The Big Joe Jersey Talent Show returns to Point Pleasant Beach every Sunday night beginning July 11 and ending Sunday night August 29. The final will take place on Sunday, September 5 with our celebrity judges crowning the Big Joe Jersey Talent Show Champion.

OFFICIAL TALENT SHOW RULES

Full-time New Jersey residents only; proof of residency may be required.

To enter and be considered for the Big Joe Jersey Talent Show, contestants must submit a Video:30 of the performance with the form provided above to New Jersey 101.5 FM. Video: 30 must contain the act/song/performance the contestant(s) will perform on the Big Joe Jersey Talent Show. The New Jersey 101.5 staff will select the acts and schedule them for the qualifying round. New Jersey 101.5 will notify all applicants via email and/or cell phone of the selection status.

Participants can register ONLY ONCE. Participants MUST be available on the scheduled date of the initial performance, the rain date which will be the following Monday evening, the semi-final(s) and the final. A complete calendar of these dates can be found in the registration form. Failure to miss a competition round will result in forfeiture of any future performance.

Applicants must electronically submit the audio without vocal tracks to the Talent Show Coordinator. Background vocals are acceptable. No CDs, cassettes, i-Pods, i-Pads or mobile phone applications will be accepted on the performance date. No lip sync. No more than 2 performers for each act. No bands. The registration deadline is 11:59 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021.

For the sake of repetitiveness, no patriotic songs such as “Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America” ​​will be allowed.

No performer will be accepted if they have or have had a recording or any type of representation contract or agent representative agreement. No professional artists will be accepted. Performers may have received financial compensation or remuneration totaling $2,000 for all paid performances. Grand Prize winners from other New Jersey talent shows are not eligible. All competitors can participate in the qualifying round only once. Acts are limited to 2 minutes 30 seconds for each performance throughout the competition. New Jersey 101.5 WKXW-FM will schedule all performances and notify applicants of performance dates. All scheduled contestants must be present and register at table NJ 101.5 no later than 6:15 p.m. on the day of the show. Attendees will be required to sign a COVID liability waiver in order to participate. Contestants waiting to perform must practice social distancing and wear a face covering when not on stage. Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the loss of the competitor’s participation for the scheduled show and for the entire season. Competitors should allow extra time for summer traffic and parking issues.

Mobile phone numbers will be required to contact artists in the event of last minute changes, postponements or cancellations. The cell phone number of a parent/guardian of any performer under the age of 18 is required.

The Big Joe Jersey Talent Show will be held every Sunday night beginning July 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM EST on the beach at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, 300 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. Weekly July 11 Performance Winners, July The July 18, 25, August 1, August 8, August 15, August 22, and August 29 will move on to the Big Joe Talent Show finale on September 5. Due to a shortened season, the semi-finals will not take place. The total number of finalists will be based on the number of artists selected to advance each week.

In case of bad weather, the competition may be moved to the following Monday at the same time. If the event cannot take place the following Monday evening due to inclement weather, scheduling conflicts or other unforeseen circumstances, attendees will be contacted by the Talent Show Coordinator to reschedule to a later date.

Past Big Joe Jersey Talent Show Grand Champion winners are not eligible.

New Jersey 101.5 WKXW-FM reserves the right to disqualify any contestant deemed unacceptable or inappropriate. All acts performed at the Big Joe Jersey Talent Show must be tasteful and suitable for a family audience. Any talented artist who violates this rule will automatically be disqualified and banned from performing at future talent shows or station events. Each qualifying week will have at least one candidate selected to advance to the Wildcard Round and/or Semi-Finals. The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the final. There will be ONLY ONE Grand Champion winner. There is no compensation for second or third place contestants.

All decisions of New Jersey 101.5 WKXW-FM, including the judging of all qualifying performances, semi-finals and final competitions are final. New Jersey 101.5 Station management reserves the right to change or modify the rules regarding contestants’ participation in the Big Joe Talent Show at any time. By participating in the “New Jersey 101.5 Big Joe Jersey Talent Show”, entrants agree to abide by the rules above as well as those set forth by Townsquare Media. Void where prohibited by law. One winner per household. Only persons who have not won a prize, excluding consolation prizes or prizes other than grand prizes, awarded to all qualified entrants in other WKXW-FM Radio contests within sixty (60 ) days prior to each individual contest day are eligible to win on that day. Sponsors, Townsquare Media and their affiliates, advertising agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to play or win Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes.

Prize sponsors are solely responsible for the prizes, including their quality, service and validity dates for redemption. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entrants. Station reserves the right to broadcast audio, photos and videos or otherwise publish the names and likeness of all contestants. Judging is the responsibility of WKXW-FM Radio. Station reserves the right to change the contest rules, including but not limited to contest dates. Prizes for the 2021 Big Joe Talent Show include a piano, (retail value TBD) courtesy of Worldwide Piano and Music School at Edison NJ, WorldwidePianoStores.com and a professional music video and multi-location photoshoot courtesy of Gary Gellman of Gellman Images (Retail value $5,000).
